Unit 2
This unit is about the expression and communication in preschool.
In this part, I´m going to explain how to develop the creativity in preschool. The creativity may be defined as the process of creating original ideas and using abstract thinking to find solutions to problems.
Firstly, to develop the creativity, as an adult, you have to create an environment that stimulates the creativity of the child. This could be done by art projects, giving different material, showing diversity and presenting unexpected objects.
As the teacher/parent you should exhibit an attitude that promotes creativity. You can do this by exposing multiple solutions to a problem, beign flexible with the instructions, leting the child play wiht his imagination, by being non judgment and making questions or giving choices.
You can propose activities that help children to develop creativity such as brainstorming games or art projects.
Lastly, you must avoid things that kill the creativity, do not reward the children or make expectations. Also try nos to watch over a kid while doing an activity, he must feel more nervous or change his way of acting.
As a recommendation, try to let the children have their own creativity, don´t let yours influences affect what you provide to the student/kid.
